Poser 5 Nodes 101 - Magnifying Lens
Thanks to Ajax for taking the time to explain the basics of nodes in Poser 5 and for allowing me to post this information here!

Just for laughs, here's one last example of the refraction node being used. This time I'm imitating glass. The principles behind this one are exactly the same as the water material I showed earlier. The key differences are that this time I don't need any displacement and the refractive index has to be the right one for glass instead of water.
Notice how the tiles behind the glass are magnified, but if you look closely you can also see the reflections of the room on both the front and back surfaces of the glass. Here's a quick screenshot of the material nodes.
