Recommended Addtional Programs

Morph Manager by Mason. Rumor has it a new version is coming out in mid 2003. This wonderful program will allow you to move morphs from one .cr2 file to another. The .cr2 files must use the same underlying mesh. Many people create morphs for Victoria, Michael, etc. and put them in stripped .cr2 files and distribute them. Morph Manager makes it a snap to move these special .cr2 morphs to your standard .cr2 files. You can also rename morph dials inside Morph Manager so they show up they way you want them to in Poser.

Textpad. If you want to dig into Poser's guts, Notepad and Wordpad just won't do. I prefer Textpad, which is an inexpensive text editing program, but there are free programs available as well.

RenameFiles v2.4. A lot of people use the same file names, so you run the risk of overwriting files. (eye-blue-mat, readme.txt, etc.) RenameFiles can rename a bunch of files at one time. (I add the creator's name to the begining of the files so I can keep them all together, even if I put multiple creators in one folder.) Available in English and German.

UVMapper. Poser owes a lot to Steve Cox's nifty program. UVMapper will create templates for .obj files if you don't have the templates. It can also make larger and smaller templates. For more advanced users, it can create new templates and modify the .obj files to use the new templates. There's a free and commercial version available.

Don't just dream the future - build it.
