Although Poser 5 is featured in this tutorial, almost every item shown is valid for Poser 4. (The major differences - the parameter dial shown to the right of the figure will not look the same in Poser 4, nor will the room tabs at the top appear in Poser 4 or Pro Pack. The figure featured is Don, who comes with Poser 5, but everything done with Don can be done to other Poser figures.)
If you have Poser 4 or Poser Pro Pack, you will not have a Material Room. You can go to Render: Materials and do much the same thing, though the screen will look different than what is shown here.
